Pro- Casita

In 1973, Santa Clara High School, just as other schools in Bogotá, carried its annual excursion with the students of 11th grade.
The girls of that time were very happy with it, somehow they thought something was missing to make their trip fulfilled; they needed to leave a mark showing the values which they received in their school. Thus, in 1.974, following a consideration about poverty situation many people lived in Colombia, they decided to help some of them by giving a "little house" to a needy family.
This way they began to work for such as great ideal, without expecting anything in return, they gave the first “Casita (little house)” in 1.744 in Monteredondo to Mrs. Rosita de Castro.
Today, more than 40 houses have been delivered. It is a tradition girls have wanted to keep after promotion. Every year, the dream of 11th grade girls every year is to be able to give a family a home; it is an act of pure generosity which brings much happiness to many people.
